Emily mack-maulupe, M.A.

registered psychological associate (PSB94029616)

Emily provides therapy for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), parenting challenges, neurodivergence, and concerns related to gender identity, sexual identity, sexuality, and relationships. She strives to create an affirming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, identity, relationships, and personal goals.

Emily brings both professional training and lived experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and families. She understands the emotional demands of caregiving, balancing personal needs with the needs of others, navigating complex family dynamics, and embracing the unique strengths and challenges that accompany neurodivergence. She is passionate about helping parents, adolescents, and adults feel understood while fostering resilience, self-acceptance, and meaningful growth.

Her approach is person-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed, drawing from behavioral principles, mindfulness, meditation, grounding techniques, and evidence-based interventions. Emily helps clients better understand the patterns driving their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical strategies for lasting change. For individuals living with OCD, she incorporates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) alongside mindfulness-based strategies to reduce the impact of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.

Emily believes that while coping skills are valuable, meaningful healing comes through self-awareness, self-compassion, and understanding the deeper experiences that shape how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. Whether clients are navigating anxiety, OCD, neurodivergence, identity exploration, parenting challenges, or relationship and sexuality concerns, Emily works collaboratively with each client to cultivate emotional resilience, authentic self-understanding, and lasting change.

Emily provides individual therapy for adolescents and adults as well as couples and family therapy to the residents of California through telehealth.
